Pet Boarding

A Safe, Caring Home Away From Home

When you travel or need a safe place for your pet while you are at work, our boarding facility provides a clean, supervised environment where your companion is looked after by the same team that handles their medical care. Dogs enjoy daily walks, and cats stay in dedicated cat condos designed for their comfort and peace of mind.

Because we are a full veterinary hospital, you can board with the confidence that any health concern that comes up will be caught and handled immediately. Boarding with us also means your pet's medical history is right on file, so there is never any need to re-explain their needs or medications.

Our Full Range of Services

From annual wellness visits to surgery and diagnostic imaging, we provide the care dogs and cats need at every stage of life.

Dental Services

Oral health is one of the most overlooked aspects of pet care, yet dental disease affects the majority of adult dogs and cats. We provide professional dental cleanings and thorough oral health assessments to catch problems early, prevent pain, and protect your pet's overall wellbeing.

Heartworm Testing

Heartworm disease is a serious, preventable condition spread by mosquitoes. Annual heartworm screening lets us catch any infection in its earliest and most treatable stage, and helps us guide the right preventive medication for your dog's lifestyle in Montana.

Microchipping

A microchip is the most reliable form of permanent pet identification. The procedure is quick, safe, and takes only a moment. Should your pet ever go missing, a registered microchip dramatically improves the chances of a reunion with your family.

Spaying and Neutering

Spay and neuter procedures are among the most common and beneficial surgeries in veterinary medicine. Beyond population control, these procedures reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues, and are performed with careful anesthetic monitoring and pain management here at St Francis.

Preventive Health Care

Regular wellness exams form the foundation of a long, healthy life for your pet. During each visit we assess body condition, organ function, dental health, and any changes since the last exam. Catching small issues early keeps treatment simpler and costs lower.

Vaccination

We tailor vaccination schedules to each pet's age, lifestyle, and risk factors. Core vaccines protect against the most serious and contagious diseases, while lifestyle vaccines address specific risks like kennel cough or leptospirosis depending on where your pet spends time.

X-Ray / Radiography

Digital radiography gives us a clear look inside without invasive procedures. X-rays help diagnose bone fractures, lung conditions, bladder stones, intestinal obstructions, and many other conditions that aren't visible on the surface. Results are reviewed immediately so we can discuss a treatment plan with you right away.

Growth Removals

Lumps and skin growths are common in pets as they age, and not all of them are cause for concern. We evaluate each growth carefully, recommend removal when appropriate, and can send samples to a pathology lab to give you a definitive answer about what it was and whether additional care is needed.

Fecal Testing

Intestinal parasites like roundworms, hookworms, and giardia can be present even when your pet shows no outward signs. Annual fecal testing catches these infections before they worsen, and since some parasites are transmissible to humans, keeping your pet clear also protects your family.

FeLV / FIV / FIP Testing

Feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and related conditions are serious diseases that affect cats' immune systems. Testing is especially important for new cats joining a household, outdoor cats, and any cat showing signs of illness. Early diagnosis helps us manage these conditions and protect other cats in the home.

Cremation Services

Losing a beloved pet is one of life's hardest moments. We offer compassionate cremation services to help you honor your companion with the dignity they deserve. Our team handles all arrangements with care and sensitivity during a difficult time.

Small Animal Surgery

From routine soft tissue procedures to more involved surgeries, our team is equipped to handle a wide range of surgical needs for dogs and cats. Every surgery at St Francis includes careful pre-anesthetic evaluation, attentive monitoring throughout the procedure, and thorough post-operative care.

Not sure if we handle a specific concern? Give us a call and we will let you know right away.
